Before you send money, verify the seller.
Scammers copy photos, steal names, and fake screenshots. They can also fake reviews or reference checks.
What scammers can't do is generate a live TruePass code from an account they don't own.
TruePass is the verification platform for watches, sneakers, jewelry, trading cards, and collectibles. Real dealers. Real verification.
You're trusting screenshots and vibes.
Every day, buyers lose hundreds to thousands of dollars because scammers create convincing fake profiles. References can be faked. Screenshots can be edited. Profile age means nothing.
Seller has 4,000 followers, lots of posts, and glowing comments. You DM them. They quote $3,800 for a Rolex. You send it. The account disappears.
Seller has been in the group for 6 months. Has "references." You Venmo $1,200 for a grail sneaker. Messages stop.
Verified seller on r/Watchexchange with 300+ karma. You send a wire. Their account was hacked two days ago.
"I had screenshots. I had references. I had no idea."
Fraud in the watch, sneaker, and collectibles market costs buyers millions annually. Most of it is completely preventable with one step: live verification before payment with TruePass.
That's exactly what TruePass is built for.
How We Verify Dealers
Every dealer on TruePass completes a multi-step verification process before they can generate a live code. Here is what we check:
Every verified TruePass dealer has completed at minimum identity and account verification. Higher tier dealers complete additional checks including business, domain, and ID verification. The more checks completed, the stronger the verification signal on their profile.
TruePass is becoming the standard for verified high-value transactions. The dealers who get verified now are the ones buyers will trust first. Get ahead of it.
Sophisticated buyers are already asking for it.
Dealers without a TruePass profile are losing deals to dealers who have one.
And right now, someone could be using your photos, your name, and your reputation to scam your customers. TruePass gives buyers one way to know they're talking to the real you.
At $39/month, one additional closed deal covers your subscription for the year.
Protect your reputation
Right now, someone could be using your photos, your name, and your reputation to scam your customers. TruePass gives buyers one definitive way to confirm they are talking to the real you — not an impersonator.
Stand out from the crowd
A verified TruePass profile signals professionalism. Elite dealers get priority badge placement in search.
Close deals faster
When buyers can verify in real-time, hesitation drops. No verification step means no reason to stall.
How TruePass works
Four steps. Under two minutes. One more layer of confidence before you send.
Find the dealer
Search TruePass for the dealer's profile. Find their verified social accounts, payment methods, and authorized staff — all confirmed and live.
Ask for a TruePass Code
Ask the seller: "Can you generate a TruePass code?" A legitimate dealer on TruePass can generate a live TruePass code in seconds.
Enter the code
Go to TruePass's verification page and enter the code the seller provides. A free buyer account is all you need — no paid membership, ever.
Get confirmation
TruePass confirms which dealer and staff member issued the code. If the code is wrong or expired, you're warned immediately. Don't pay unless it's green.
What a Verified Dealer Profile Looks Like
When you look up a dealer on TruePass, here is the kind of verified information you will see before sending a dollar.
This is what buyers see when they verify you.
Acme Watch Dealers

This is a sample illustration. Real dealer profiles display live-verified data pulled directly from authenticated accounts.
“Buy the seller first, then the item.”
It's an old saying — and it's never been more true. Scammers are getting smarter every day. Stolen photos, fake reviews, cloned accounts. TruePass gives you a way to know who you're actually dealing with — before you send a dollar.
See It In Action
This is exactly what a real TruePass verification looks like. Have the dealer generate a code, then enter it below. Try it — type the code from the dealer side into the buyer side.
This is a demo — not a real TruePass verification.
The code shown here is fictional and cannot be used to verify any real dealer. A real TruePass code can only be generated from inside a verified dealer account and verified at truepass.app/verify. Do not accept screenshots of this demo as proof of verification.

3 attempts maximum. After 3 failures the code is invalidated and the dealer is notified.
Deal Rooms
Verifying who you're talking to is step one. Confirming exactly where your money is going is step two.
Why Deal Rooms exist
The most common tactic after identity fraud is payment redirection. A seller who looks verified sends you their Zelle, PayPal, or wire details in a text message or DM. You send the money. It goes to an account the scammer controls — not the verified dealer.
A Deal Room eliminates that window entirely. Payment details are pulled live from the seller's verified account on file — not typed into a message, not sent in a screenshot.
How a Deal Room works
The seller creates the room. The buyer completes three confirmation steps.
Platform Verification
Confirm which platform you connected on and the seller's username. It's cross-referenced against the seller's verified social accounts on file. If it doesn't match, the Deal Room flags it.
Payment Method Verification
The Deal Room displays the seller's verified payment info exactly as confirmed during their TruePass setup. Compare it against whatever the seller sent you directly. Different? Don't send.
Final Live TruePass Code
As the last step, the seller generates one final live TruePass code. You enter it. This confirms the seller's account is active and in the hands of the real account holder at the exact moment the deal closes.
What gets logged
- Verified identity of the seller
- Staff member who generated the final code
- Platform and username confirmation
- Payment method verified at time of transaction
- Deal title, category, and price
- Date and time the Deal Room was confirmed
Both parties retain access. In a dispute, this is a complete transaction trail tied to a verified real identity that law enforcement can act on.
What a Deal Room does not do
A Deal Room confirms identity and verifies payment destination. It does not authenticate the item being sold, guarantee delivery, or escrow funds.
TruePass confirms who you are dealing with and where your money is going. What happens after you send is between you and the verified seller — with a complete identity and transaction record on file if anything goes wrong.
The bottom line
The Quick Verify tells you who you are talking to.
The Deal Room tells you where your money is actually going.
Together they close every window a scammer needs to operate. A TruePass Deal Room means that if something goes wrong, the trail leads directly to a verified real identity with a documented transaction record attached.
Why scammers can't fake a TruePass dealer
Scammers copy everything visible. TruePass verifies what can't be copied — in real-time.
The live TruePass code is the line scammers can't cross.
It can only be generated from inside a verified dealer account. No exceptions.
